Old Gods of Asgard, the fictional band portrayed by Poets of the Fall from Remedy Entertainment’s universe plays a massive role in Alan Wake 2 and has some excellent tracks in the game. Alan Wake 2 is one of the year’s most celebrated titles, and we had a blast playing through Remedy’s magnum opus and gave it a perfect score. Alan Wake 2 has 8 nominations at The Game Awards, and now the Old Gods of Asgard have been confirmed to take the stage at the event.
While it hasn’t announced which songs they’ll perform, I think it goes without saying that we’ll see a live version of “Herald of Darkness”, though how they’ll pull it off is certainly going to be interesting as it involves multiple characters including Alan Wake himself. This is also technically their first-ever live performance, which is a pretty exciting idea in its own right.
Alan Wake 2 has tons of original music specifically created for the game to add another layer to their unique storytelling that often combines live-action cutscenes, and music in a way I’ve never seen before. I’m looking forward to the performance, and seeing which tracks they’ve chosen.
