It has been one glorious year since the release of Overwatch and during that time we have met new characters, played and explored new maps, participated in several fun events, and the team at Overwatch promises that there's still more to come.
To commemorate this joyous occasion, Blizzard has launched the Overwatch Anniversary event, which isn't actually an event in the traditional sense as those we've experience before. Instead, Overwatch Anniversary is more of a special update that adds a bunch of cool new content including 11 must-have skins:
The event also introduces three new Arcade mode arena maps, Necropolis, Castillo, and Black Forest:
And it ushers in a new 1 vs 1 mode and a 3 vs 3 elimination mode.
But probably the most important thing that players get thanks to the Anniversary event is the dancing emotes that they've been asking for!
Each character gets a unique dance move which can only be found in the event's loot boxes. The same goes for the 24 new voice lines, 25 sprays, and 25 player icons.
The Overwatch Anniversary event runs from May 23 to June 12, 2017 and as usual, once it's done, the loot boxes for this event and all their content go back into the vault.
