Indie dev Phantom 8 Studio is bringing us an ambitious title this year, Past Cure. It’s an action stealth thriller that is centered around an ex-elite soldier that has a shady past and evidentially a much shadier future. The game is described as a mix of Inception, Fight Club, and John Wick; hell of a mixture if I do say so myself. Check out the story trailer down below!
The trailer gives you a quick glimpse of what the gameplay will be like, which relies heavily on third-person shooting and fighting. The graphics look great and based off of what was shown, the game is going for a cinematic feel, which I truly enjoy. Open world games are great but I feel that there is still a need for cinematic gameplay in modern gaming. I only hope that the developer brings us a well-polished game at the time of its release, but everything does look promising. Here’s a synopsis of Past Cure taken from the official site:
"After his years of being tortured in dark prisons across Europe, ex elite soldier Ian lives in the safehouse of his brother, struggling with the consequences of the military experiments he was put through. They twisted his mind, imbued him with preternatural mental abilities such as time control and telekinesis, and fractured his grip on reality.
