Developer and Publisher XD Games’ platform fighter game Flash Party will release onto Android in early January and onto Steam Early Access on January 9th 2023. The game, originally released on iOS, is making the move onto new platforms in tandem with a new update.
All versions will be receiving a large content update in response to community requests, called the Stardust Warriors update. The update divided the heroes into four different classes, each with its own fighting style. Changes to the skill sticker system promise greater variety in battles.
The update also introduces several new modes. The ‘Party Royale’ mode, a ten-player battle royale where environmental hazards add extra danger to players. The last one left at the end of the round is the winner.
A PVE platform-focused mode, Alter Verse Challenge, is also in the works, though details are more sparse and there aren’t explicit promises that it will be implemented in the update.
Inspired by titles like Brawlhalla and Super Smash Bros, Flash Party is a platformer, beat-em-up combo with a large cast of cute and off-the-wall characters. The object of fights is generally to try and launch the opponents out of the arena. This is done by hitting them to build up momentum.
Flash Party is available now on iOS, and has been announced for release on Android, and PC via Steam Early Access.
