Popular Horror YouTube Channel Is Branching Into Video Games!

The YouTube channel known as Dead Meat, most well-known for their Horror movie Kill Counts hosted by James A. Janisse, has officially stepped into the digital world of gaming! Janisse and his wife Chelsea Rebecca have been very vocal about supporting the SAG-AFTRA strikes, which they should as they work so closely to the film industry and they have both talked about knowing what it feels like to be in that underpaid environment. The strikes have left them in a tricky situation though, there are a lot of big name movies that are off limits because of the strikes so they’re doing their best to keep the content coming while supporting the writers by not covering movies that are produced by the affected companies.

Janisse had to find a way to provide weekly coverage and there’s only so many movies that they can cover that aren’t affected and a lot have already been covered on the Kill Count by him. Last week he made his first big branch by covering a YouTube series called Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared. Today, they released a Kill Count for Mortal Kombat 2011 (MK9).

Janisse covered this game perfectly IMO. He always has a clever way of delivering the full story without skipping a detail. Counting every cannon death in MK9, the video was 36 and some change minutes long and I thought it was a perfect intro for him to start in the gaming industry. What a time to start on the Mortal Kombat series too with Mortal Kombat 1 being so huge right now.
