Skybound Entertainment is ready to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the popular Invincible series. To do so, they have made a number of announcements.
For starters, they have officially announced their first video game in the Invincible universe. This game is entitled Invincible Presents: Atom Eve and it will be a visual novel title developed by Terrible Posture Games that will allow players to become Atom Eve, the eponymous superhero from the series. This announcement follows on the heels of the recently announced multi-hero mobile game Invincible: Guarding the Globe.
Players can explore Atom Eve’s life beyond the story they already know and love from the comics and animated series, and face the difficulties that come with balancing the dangers and responsibilities of her superhero life with the everyday challenges of school, friends, family, and romantic interests. Dramatic player choices that shape Atom Eve's relationships will define the outcome of the story across multiple paths and choosing how to develop Eve’s skills can increase her power, unlock special combat skills for use in vivid comic-book-style combat, or unlock unique dialogue options to further play your story, your way.
Invincible Presents: Atom Eve will launch sometime in 2023 on PC via Steam.
Next up, we have a tabletop board game called Invincible: The Hero-Building Game which was developed by Dire Wolf. In this tabletop co-op game for up to 4 people, players pose as fledgling hero Mark Grayson and the Teen Team as they learn to use their powers and work together to protect the Earth. As tasks get harder, player risk increases, and you must balance your resources to save civilians and fellow heroes.
Invincible: The Hero-Building Game is set to launch in 2024.
Continuing the tabletop board game options, they revealed Invincible: Escape from Mars which was developed in-house by Skybound Tabletop. This game is based on Season One Episode Four of the critically acclaimed Prime Video series Invincible, “Neil Armstrong, Eat Your Heart Out.” Play as one of three unique teams – Astronaut, Hero, or Infected Sequid – each with their own particular victory missions and obstacles. No pressure, just the enslavement of all of humanity at stake.
Invincible: Escape from Mars is set to launch in Q1 2024.
As for collectors out there, they have teamed up with Good Smile Company to launch an Invincible Nendoroid, the company’s most popular collectible figure line that allows you to pose your favorite characters. The figure will come with 3 alternate faces, 2 sets of hands, 2 sets of arms, 2 sets of legs, and a flight stand, and will be fully colored in Invincible’s iconic blue and yellow superhero uniform as seen in Season One of the Prime Video adult animated series.
Pre-orders for the Invincible Nendoroid will be open in Fall 2023.
Finally, to round it all off, they have confirmed that Season Two of the Amazon Prime animated series Invincible will be launching soon. They didn’t have an official date to reveal, but let’s hope it will be before 2024!
