Spanish developer Black Chili Goat and Sony Interactive Entertainment España (SIE España) are about to bring a new first-person psychological thriller experience. In their game, simply titled Tape, players will use a Super8 camera to rewind, pause, or fast-forward objects in time. Set to release in April on both PC via Steam and PlayStation, this might be the indie thriller to experience.
This game takes place in 1990s northern Spain and follows the story of Iria. Using a Super8 camera, she will be able to play with time to solve puzzles and try to remember the past events that led to her dad's disappearance, an acclaimed horror movie director. Escape the nightmares that inhabit Iria's memories while exploring an eerie location heavily influenced by her dad's work in the past.
Tape will bring a dark, story-driven experience next month. While some of the concepts aren’t exactly new, I do look forward to seeing how this team puts the ideas to use and ultimately provides a unique playthrough of their own. Guess we will find out in April!
