Quick Review Roundup - DUNE: AWAKENING, Capcom Switch 2 Titles, ALBION ONLINE, and More

Summer has just started and we’ve been already buried by not only an avalanche of gaming announcements from SGF and all the events surrounding that, we’ve also been absolutely bombarded by a ton of quality gaming releases. We appreciate all the support and efforts from devs and publishers on the titles featured here today. On with the list!

Dune: Awakening
Available Now

This game is massive and is clearly a loving tribute to Frank Herbert’s universe, delivering an atmospheric masterclass through stunning visuals, haunting music, and intricate worldbuilding. The crafting system is a highlight, deep and rewarding, and the ability to enjoy the game solo or with others adds flexibility. While combat isn’t the most thrilling aspect, everything else is steeped in rich Dune authenticity.

The graphics and artistry on display along with that dedication to authenticity to the Dune Universe makes this a game not to be missed by anyone.

If you love Dune, you’ll adore Awakening. Even if you aren’t familiar with Dune, you’ll still find something to love in this incredibly hard-to-put-down opus.

Street Fighter 6 (Switch 2)
Available Now

FIIIIIGHT! SF6 lands a hadouken straight into the hall of fame with buttery-smooth performance, crisp visuals, and Switch 2-exclusive features that make it feel right at home on the new hardware. It’s a shining sign that the future of fighting games on Nintendo’s platform is not just alive but ready to uppercut expectations.

While I haven’t been into modern SF games as much as in the old arcade games, this is the one to get and playing the Switch 2 is a dream. Some of the modes can be a bit clunky but overall, superb.

Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess (Switch 2)
Available Now

Kunitsu who?! Well, you about to find out! The Capcom title is a bold, underrated gem that dares to be different with its mesmerizing setting, deeply spiritual story, and refreshingly unique gameplay. Its artistic vision and hauntingly beautiful world are unlike anything else on the Switch 2, making it a standout experience for those seeking something truly original.

Want a true hidden gem that many gamers may have completely missed? Kunitsu is your jam. Massive kudos for being so daring and bold.

Wuthering Waves 2.4
Available Now

WW delivers a dazzling upgrade with an explosion of new features, pristine polish across animations, and a truckload of content that makes the world feel more alive than ever. The graphical fidelity is breathtaking, the fluidity of combat animations is top-tier, and the sheer volume of new activities, areas, and mechanics makes this update a must-play chapter in an already captivating saga.

While the game has it’s share of beauty in many forms, it’s shocking how high the production values truly are and constant, quality content is just the cherry on top. Some of the dialogue can be very drawn out but overall, I am loving this game and seeing it evolve.

Wartorn (Early Access)
Available Now

Never heard of it? Join the club. Wartorn is a visual feast with masterfully crafted maps that offer dynamic and engaging gameplay, blending strategy and skill in a satisfying way. Its impressive graphical presentation sets a high bar for early access titles, and while the challenge level can sometimes feel punishing, it adds a rewarding edge for those who embrace tactical depth and immersive battlefields.

It’s still in Early Access but it’s also still worth your time and hard-earned gaming bucks.

Albion Online
Available Now

Last and certainly not least is a game that for years I wrote off due to the simple graphics. Albion is the everyman's (and everywoman’s) MMORPG, offering seamless cross-play and cross-progression between PC and mobile in a vibrant sandbox that’s easy to enter but hard to leave. Don’t be fooled by the cartoony graphics—underneath is a deep, player-driven economy and strategic PvP that can hook casual and hardcore players alike.

Now, I need to go tend to my fams and animals. Then off to smack some monsters around. Ok, I gotta go login.

RAIDOU Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army (Switch 2)
Available Now

RAIDOU for Switch 2 is another hidden gem that flew under my radar for a bit. Now, we all get to enjoy a stylish and atmospheric revival that modernizes the classic with impressive upgrades, most notably in its fantastic voice acting that brings the world and characters to life like never before.

The updated visuals shine in many areas, especially during combat and demon fusions, though some environments and animations still carry a bit of jank. The detective gameplay is charming but occasionally clunky, yet the overall experience captures the quirky, supernatural noir vibe that makes Raidou’s return both nostalgic and refreshing.
