Mooneaters has developed a new relaxing farm simulator called Everdream Valley. The game has two publishers, Untold Tales, and VarsaV Game Studios. Players will live out all aspects of farm life, from taking care of a patch of fertile land to embodying the animals! Obviously, the game takes on some peculiar fantasy elements. I don’t remember the last time I saw a farmer warg into another animal.
It’s important to take care of the many plants and animals on the farm. Everdream Valley understands that and so provides the player with an experience separate from the realities of certain farming techniques. This means all the animals on the farm are to be raised and cannot be used for meat. This gives a more blissful, and less grim, agriculture experience. Other animals, like a dog companion with thirteen breeds to choose from, can be used as a companion to do incredible things. Cat people will rejoice at the news that a furry feline is also available as a pet! Although it takes a lot more work to win it to your side.
When night comes, the dreams your character manifests will allow for a more fantastical aspect of the game. Players will become the animals on the farm and get to participate in mini-games. This is where Everdream Valley works in its fantasy undertones. With a farm as peaceful and relaxing, it makes sense that a little magic would be in the air. The magic doesn’t stop there! During the summer season, players get a little reprieve from the farm and can do a boatload of extracurriculars! From fishing, camping, treasure hunting, and building treehouses on top of the base farm maintenance, Everdream Valley has a great chunk of content for players to sink their teeth into.
