With Season 5 approaching Battlefield 2042, EA and DICE are ready to show off some of the quality-of-life updates they have in store for the update. The focus for the updates around the new season is the restructuring of Vehicle Loadouts. Here are the details:
Explosives & Vehicle Roles - Vehicle loadouts will be restructured to ensure combat roles are once again clearly defined, adding readability on the battlefield.
Loadouts - Loadout restructuring will improve the overall balance of vehicle offerings. Weapons will be removed, with new ones added to each available loadout; explosives will no longer be an option for all vehicles.
Thermal Sights for Vehicles - Players will be able to choose between using their thermals or optical zoom on some of the vehicle weapon stations.
Jet Gameplay Improvements - Payers can soon feel more connected to their jet, allowing them to be more responsive and controllable when dogfighting.
Other Changes - Tanks will receive the decouple aim from turning option, allowing players to turn tanks without moving their aim; STAFF Shell for tanks will no longer lock to enemy ground vehicles on their own - they’ll lock into laser-designated targets to deal extra damage.
