Systemic Reaction has announced the upcoming launch of its latest game, Ravenbound, an open-world action rogue-lite set in the Scandinavian fantasy land of Ávalt. The world of Ávalt will be filled with dangerous creatures inspired by Scandinavian folk tales.
Players will take on the role of the Vessel, wielding the Raven, a powerful weapon created by ancient gods to save the land of Ávalt from the monsters that threaten its existence. Ravenbound offers a beautifully deadly open world, where players can explore the vast landscape on foot or on the wings of the Raven.
The combat in Ravenbound is intense and fast-paced, featuring a variety of creatures such as trolls, huldras, and undead draugrs. Tactics are everything as each Vessel only has one life to sacrifice, but the abilities attained will benefit the next Vessel that takes their place.
Ravenbound's deck-building feature adds an extra layer of strategy to the game. Players can expand their deck with more powerful gear and weapons with each new life, but they must choose their cards carefully as they will be the cards drawn by the next Vessel. Improving the deck will give each Vessel the best chance to survive and bring the Raven closer to victory.
Ravenbound is available for pre-order now on Steam, with a special 10% discount for early adopters. Ravenbound will be available on PC via Steam on March 30th.
