We are finally getting a closer look at the tale within Daedalic Entertainment and NACON’s upcoming video game adaptation of Sméagol’s, I mean Gollum’s, journey in The Lord of the Rings. Of course, the game is based on the Middle Earth Enterprise series from J.R.R. Tolkien, so The Lord of the Rings: Gollum’s lore wasn’t exactly unknown before now. But, we do get an official release date with the story trailer!
Embark on a perilous journey as Gollum, chasing the only thing that is precious to you. Climb, leap, and sneak your way past dangers or into advantageous spots. Gollum is skillful and sly, and torn by a split personality. It is up to you to decide whether to yield to the darker side of Gollum or trust the kinder gentler hint of Sméagol.
The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is set to launch on May 25th for PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. A Nintendo Switch version is planned to be launched at a later date. Considering they originally had to delay this launch, the wait really isn’t too far away now!
