In a panel during PAX East a few days ago, the director for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, Brendan Greene, announced that the Miramar Map would be available in May for Xbox One players. The news was also confirmed by Microsoft’s Aaron Greenberg, who revealed via Twitter that the desert map would be available on Microsoft's console soon.
PUBG is currently in the Xbox Game Preview and has reached three million players in the Xbox One a month after its initial launch in December. As January 2018 closed, PUBG was able to reach 4 million players on the Xbox One and gave players 30,000 Battle Points to celebrate the milestone.
The Miramar Map was originally released on the PC version of PUBG since December of last year. Currently, Xbox One players only have the Erangel map, which is the base map of the game. However, it seems like the Miramar map is not the only one coming to PUBG soon. A smaller jungle-based map called Savage was introduced for testing on the PC last week and features close-quarters combat that allowed for quicker games. Of course, since Savage is still being tested on the PC, so Xbox One players shouldn’t expect it any time soon.
