Developer IllFonic and Sony Interactive Entertainment have announced the free trial weekend for Predator: Hunting Grounds, an asymmetrical shooter set in the dense jungle where the Predator hunts the Fireteam, the unsuspecting prey.
Play as the Predator and hunt down all of the commandos with stealth, advanced weaponry, and the element of surprise. It’s guerrilla warfare, and you are the apex predator.
And play as the Fireteam, a paramilitary squad with two options—evade and escape the ruthless attacks from the Predator or gear up and take down the hunter. Use teamwork to coordinate maneuvers and to outwit and outnumber the opposition.
Asymmetrical multiplayer games have risen in popularity, with pioneering titles like Evolve giving way to survival-horror hits like Friday the 13th: The Game (another IllFonic title) and Dead by Daylight. And the latest release in the genre shifts the environment to the sci-fi and action classic Predator for the ultimate game of hunt-or-be-hunted.
This weekend, March 27th to 29th, players can join with friends and play Predator: Hunting Grounds as the Fireteam. Or play solo and terrorize the commandos as the Predator. Fight with human and alien weaponry in the multiplayer game to unlock iconic gear and skins as you level up.
Predator: Hunting Goods supports full cross-play, so PS4 players and PC gamers can experience the trial weekend together. The full game releases April 24th on the PlayStation 4 and PC via Epic Game Store.
