Resident Evil 5 & 6 are heading to the Nintendo Switch this fall! Both games will be available on the Nintendo eShop beginning October 29 and will cost $30 each. $30 is an unfortunately steep price for these older releases in contrast to the original $20 asking price when they released on PS4 and Xbox One. There is however a much better option for getting these games on the Switch however as Capcom has also announced that there will be a Resident Evil Triple Pack releasing the same day. This pack will include a physical version of Resident Evil 4, which still costs $30 by itself, and download codes for 5 and 6 all for $60 bringing the pricing more inline with those found on other platforms!
While I am always glad to see more games get brought to the Switch I am getting a little bummed out by Capcom’s half efforts. Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 & 2 only had a physical copy of part 1, The X Collection was the same story for everywhere but Japan. The recent Devil May Cry port was costly and didn’t include the second and third games which have been bundles together since 2012. Resident Evil has also been on the short end of the stick with physical releases. I guess the good news is that at least this bundle is getting the best game in physical form unlike the Resident Evil Origins Collection…
Do you plan on picking up the Resident Evil Triple Pack or the digital versions of Resident Evil 5 & 6 this October?
