After 10+ hours of gaming, listening to music, and chatting with friends, this headset has left me very impressed! One of my favorite things is the Dolby 7.1 surround sound powered through a USB sound card. When using the 7.1 surround sound you really get a great sound stage from a headset. Playing games like Overwatch and Counterstrike Global Offensive I was able to distinctly distinguish where sounds were coming from.

Explosions from Battlefield 1 and CS:GO had a really good rumbling and handled the low end spectrum quite well. The headset did the best in the upper mids and could of used a little more at the high end.  Overall, the sound quality is great from listening to music to trying to gain the advantage edge in gaming.

AESTHETICS AND BUILD QUALITY

From the high-quality metal frame, to the swivel ear cups, to the beautiful matte finish. HyperX knocked it out of the park when it comes to the how the headset looks and the robustness of the headset.

The comfort of this headset is great for extended wear, I had them on for about 4 hours and tended to forget I even had the headset on. They feel very light thanks to the elastic headband that automatically adjusts to your head size. The leather of the ear cups to make it a little warm when wearing them for an extended time.

WHAT COULD IT DO BETTER?

Microphone! The microphone sounds very flat and sounds like you are using a microphone off of a webcam. Other than the microphone I think HyperX did a great job with this headset!

VERDICT

I would recommend this headset 10 out of 10 times. If it weren't for the microphone I could give this headset a 10/10. This is a great headset to upgrade from a previous HyperX Cloud series or any other entry headsets.
