Romans at the gate! With the launch day of Expeditions: Rome upon us, THQ Nordic has put out a trailer all about sieges. Inheriting a military position after the death of your father, this new turn-based strategy-RPG will see you managing relationships, performing tasks, and quests to find your way in the world.
As part of the campaign, you attempt to take control of regions for Rome and finish each conquest with a siege that has multiple missions involved. Clearing enemies from the front, sneaking into the city to attack catapults or free prisoners, or using your own catapults to rain some payback are all just parts of the overall mission to take control of the town. You will command your soldiers in turn-based combat in different missions, with different teams of specialists set out to accomplish separate goals.
Each of these missions will affect the overall success of the siege, and you may even see some consequences affect the following missions in the attack. Fail to destroy enough catapults and your soldiers will need to dodge more airborne rocks. Clear an area out and have fewer enemies the next mission. The new trailer features gameplay and reveals some of the exciting missions that await players in their journey.
Prepare to face the largest challenges to come when Expeditions: Rome releases on PC via Steam today.
