The day has finally come that we are once again seeing Samurai Jack in action, but even better than that is the fact that the video game that lets us play as him is out now! Working with Adult Swim Games, the development team Soleil has officially released Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. It’s time to see if you can fill those wooden sandals yourself.
Players will have to go through different eras in time in hopes of defeating Aku’s evil reign once and for all. As the greatest warrior across time, it is up to you in order to put a stop to his rule. The best part is, this brand new adventure was created and is being told by the creators of Samurai Jack, so this experience is sure to be considered canon to the series!
If you haven’t already seen the launch trailer for the game, regardless if you plan on getting it, then watch the video below. Using an interview-style trailer to launch a game is definitely an interesting choice, but it is nice to see the light-hearted humor of John DiMaggio, a voice actor that has been with Samurai Jack from the beginning, as he relishes over the opportunity to come back to this position.
