SHENMUE 3 Now Has A Release Date

Shenmue 3, the third game in action-adventure series, finally gets a release date and is set to arrive on August 27, 2019. 

It has been 18 years since Shenmue 2, the last entry in the franchise was released for the Dreamcast in September of 2001. The latest announcement included a new trailer. Shenmue 3 is made by a small team at Ys Net, that is headed by Suzuki, and is mostly comprised of Sega veterans. 

Shenmue 3 had a long journey from crowdfunding back in 2015 to its current development now. As soon as the project was posted on Kickstarter, the campaign was able to raise more than $6 million and broke Kickstarter records. You can check out the latest trailer for Shenmue 3 below.

Coming August 27th, 2019 Only a few games become legendary. This is the story of one of them... Shenmue III sees the continuation of the epic story-driven saga. The player controls teenage martial artist Ryo Hazuki as he investigates his father's murder.

Shenmue 3 is scheduled to release on August 27, 2019.
