Rare doesn’t care that today is not Talk Like A Pirate Day, because they are still getting everyone into the pirate mood with their fresh update to Sea Of Thieves. With a multitude of planned content for 2022, “Shrouded Islands” is starting us off with the brand new story-driven adventure to Sea Of Thieves. Brave pirates can play this new limited-time adventure from February 17th to March 3rd.
The glooming phantom fog encroaches on the Golden Sands Outpost and players can expect to be set on a ghostly adventure. Pirate phantoms are causing a ruckus and it’s up to players to uncover the secrets of the shrouded islands and stop Captain Flameheart from regaining his power.
This new limited-time content drop is unique to Sea Of Thieves, giving players about two weeks to complete the start of this new adventure. Rare has promised consistent updates this year, approximately every month, to add to this expanding story. It has been made clear that this will not interfere with the game’s Seasonal updates, as this new adventure will coincide with new Seasons to come.
It's wild to see how far Sea Of Thieves has come since its launch and how well the live service is working to keep this game alive and well. With continued free updates like this, it gives all of us a reason to put our captain hats back on and throwback some grog. See you on the open seas matey!
