SLASH Unleashes Scarecrow Mayhem at Halloween Horror Nights 2025

Universal Studios Hollywood just cranked up the volume at Halloween Horror Night. This year, they’ve teamed up once again with legendary, Grammy Award-winning guitarist and songwriter Slash for a wickedly metal fusion of music and mayhem that promises to haunt your ears and your nightmares. Starting September 4th, horror fans and headbangers alike can dive headfirst into the madness when the fog rolls into the park.

At the center of it all is the reimagined haunted house experience, Scarecrow: Music by Slash, featuring an all-new, Slash-composed original score. Known for his signature riffs and cinematic intensity, Slash returns for his seventh straight year to craft chilling soundscapes tailored to the scares within. This time, it's nature’s turn to bite back. In Scarecrow, the sins of homesteaders’ past are punished by twisted guardians of the cornfields—silent scarecrows who enforce Mother Nature’s revenge with brutal finality.

For you vinyl collectors and horror audiophiles, you’ll want to get your claws on SLASH: Music of Universal Studios Hollywood – Halloween Horror Nights, Volume 2, a strictly vinyl-only release packed with spine-tingling tracks from haunted houses of years past. Whether it’s “The Hunted Becomes The Hunter” or the blood-pumping “Unholy Alliance,” this album is a curated graveyard of musical nightmares.

Here’s what you’ll find spinning on the turntable:

SIDE A

  • “The Hunted Becomes The Hunter” – 4:21

  • “Monsters, Maniacs, and Madmen” – 5:08

  • “The Blood is Life” – 3:38

  • “The Collection Room / Dracula’s Lair” – 2:45

  • “The Ossuary” – 1:47

SIDE B

  • “Cycles of the Moon” – 3:02

  • “Immortal Curses” – 4:26

  • “Alucard” – 2:21

  • “Bloodline Drawn” – 5:02

  • “Unholy Alliance” – 3:15

But the madness doesn’t end with music. The park will also debut a Slash-themed bar in Jurassic Cove. Cocktails named after Slash’s own tracks like “Beautiful Dangerous” and “The Danse of the Dead,” a top-hat-shaped cake, and a scare-actor Slash doppelgänger on stilts stalking through the bar like a nightmare roadie. Menu highlights include Chicken Satay Tacos, Thai Curry Tacos, and the perfect non-alcoholic break—SLASH’s Snakepit.

This year’s Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood runs select nights from September 4th through November 2nd, and offers a terrifying selection of ticketing options including General Admission, Universal Express, R.I.P. Tours, and the coveted Frequent and Ultimate Fear Passes. If you're looking for a front-row seat to the madness, the Early Access Ticket gets you in before the official 7 PM haunt bell tolls.

As horror and music icons take their rightful place this spooky season, we’d be remiss not to pause and honor another legend who helped define the genre’s soundtrack and technically had a house of his own (Black Sabbath): Rest in Peace, Ozzy Osbourne. The Prince of Darkness may have left the stage, but his shadow lives on in every scream, riff, and reverberating heartbeat this season.

This fall, the night belongs to monsters, metal, and memories. And Slash is leading the charge—top hat, six-string, and all.
