Someone Is Making A VR Version Of PUBG To Really Bring Us Into The Future

If you've ever wanted to enter a virtual arena akin to Player Unknown Battleground, your luck is in. Oneiric Entertainment have announced that they have started on a game called Virtual Battleground, which will be a Battle Royale in VR. The developers have treated us to a short gameplay video, which you can see here:

It will featured squad teams and free-for-alls, but don't expect a massive rollout of giant teams. VR headsets have a small player base for now, so limits are set at 16 players per game. The developers are offering Alpha testing right now, so be sure to visit their site if you want to sign up.

This reminds me so much of the movie, 'The Gamer'. This will surely be one intense experience, but since I am still waiting to get a PSVR just to try Resident Evil 7 out on it, it will probably be a long while before I get to fight in a virtual arena such as this. However, I may visit my local gaming centre to see how the expected tournaments unfold.

The expected released date is 2018 for the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift. Let us know what you think about this new virtual arena, and if you are sign up for the Alpha. We'd love some feedback on your experience.
