Sony gave the official release date for PlayStation VR, with it being released October 13th, 2016. They said there will be over 50 games at launch, with more coming along the way. It will not be clear if all of these are actual games, or more “experiences” showing what the platform is capable of.
It also remains unclear if all of these are going to be stand alone games, or if they are going to be add-ons to existing games. Final Fantasy XV and Star Wars Battlefront both have been shown to have PlayStation VR compatibility. While Final Fantasy seems to be a different way to play the game, Battlefront is an unique game where you pilot an X-Wing.
