Well Star Trek fans, the time has come once again to celebrate First Contact Day happening on April 5th! For those of you not so in the know about Star Trek lore, First Contact Day is when Humanity first made contact with Vulcans and was depicted in an episode of Star Trek: Voyager. Every year the occasion gets celebrated in the MMO Star Trek Online and this year is definitely no exception! Beginning on April 2 through April 23 PC players of Star Trek Online will be treated to a First Contact Day celebration like no other. For console players, the event will start a bit later on April 9 through April 30.
The Borg are determined to go back in time to alter the course of history to keep Humans and Vulcans from meeting. It will be up to the players to journey back into the mid-21st century and stop the Borg from interfering with the launch of humanity’s first warp-capable ship, the Phoenix. Along the new journey, players will be able to get help from Seven-of-Nine, who will be voiced by Star Trek: Voyager actress Jeri Ryan. Other activities from the even include building a replica Phoenix craft and seeing who’s craft can fly the highest. A number of event rewards will also be distributed including a First Contact Day bundle. Anyone who can reach 14 days of progress, will gain access to the Temporal Vortex Probe as well.
