A few months ago, the highly-anticipated survival horror game, Agony, that takes players to the depths of hell was released with mixed reviews. Now, the game has been confirmed to launch on the Nintendo Switch, later this year.
The game puts players in the role of a man who was sent to Hell, without any recollection of how he got there. He’s nightmarish journey unfolds as he tries to escape his doom while encountering demons and other damned souls.
Agony features a story mode that challenges players by randomizing levels for a more diverse exploration and survival. Unsurprisingly, the game was controversial that the developers had to mellow the game a bit for it to pass strict ratings and be released to consoles.
In our review of Agony, we found the concept to be interesting, but the execution did not live up to expectations. “The game has its moments where it is enjoyable, and it has moments that are frustrating, The AI of the demons is poorly done and can break the immersion of the game. It is obvious that they put a lot more time into the graphical aspect of Agony than any other part of the game.”
Agony is now available on the PC, PS4, and Xbox One, and is set to release on the Switch later this year.
