Blue Isle Studios have announced a new update to Slender: The Arrival to mark a whole ten years since the horror game's release.
The game is a survival horror that pits you in a desperate struggle against a seemingly invincible liminal entity, The Slender Man, and his minions.
The Slender Man was one of the original monsters of the creepypasta genre, scary stories that were elaborated on with retellings through online posts, wikis, and YouTube series. This tall, faceless entity has haunted a number of different pieces of media, and Slender: The Arrival marked itself out as one of the more in-depth games to tackle this mysterious monster.
Now, a decade after its initial release, the update, coming this October, is the result of a painstaking process to drastically rehaul the game's visuals.
The update revitalises the original title in glorious new high-fidelity graphics with the magic of Unreal 5. Old players can experience a new coat of paint on an old classic, and perhaps some new players can appreciate the revamped experience. Every asset is completely new and the difference is stark.
This isn't all that Blue Isle Studios has in store. The update comes ahead of an all-new title S: The Lost Chapters. The game will be the second horror title from Blue Isle, and promises to give players some familiar foes, as well as a few completely new things to be terrified of. Be careful out there.
The Slender: The Arrival 10th Anniversary update will be available this October for PC via Steam.
