Wizards of the Coast just released a new trailer showcasing all of the cards we can look forward to in the upcoming Avatar: The Last Airbender set. If you are a fan of the show, you will be glad to know that all of Team Avatar is here for the ocassion, but there is a little absence on other villains such as Azula, Mai and Ty Lee.
We do have a look at Fire Lord Sozin, who looks like a fantastic card for Mono-black decks (I know I am going to add him to mine).
We get a first look at a new mechanic that takes fater bending in the game, and I can’t wait to see how players will build their decks to utilize this mechanic. There is also a great emphasis on Ally’s in this set, so that could also mean we see an uptick in Ally cards becoming more popular.
Unfortunately the set will not come with any precons which is similar to Spider-Man. Wizards has in the past released precons with their Universes Beyond deals (Lord of the Rings, Fallout, Dungeons and Dragons, Baldurs Gate, etc.) but the lack of precons in these two sets will mean fans will have to pay extra for the booster boxes to get a bigger collection.
According to the trailer, the set will release on November 21st, 2025 with the ability to play the set early at your local game store on November 14th, 2025. I know I am excited for this set!
