With that, we are excited to introduce the GameTyrant Weekly Spotlight.
What is the Weekly Spotlight all about?
It’s a platform for the community to get involved in and share their thoughts on our website by submitting an article. Any gaming news we haven’t covered? Is there a burning issue in the gaming industry that has to be voiced out? If so, why not write an article and share it with your fellow gamers. We will be picking 1 or 2 of the best articles and will post them on the GameTyrant website.
What are we looking for?
News Articles - We try to cover every news article on our website but if there are certain things we missed that needs to be reported to the community, let us know and we’ll publish it. Oh, and please cite your sources and make sure they’re credible.
Editorials/Opinion Piece - We care about what you think. We want to know your opinions on hot issues in the gaming world. We are gamers too and we are interested in knowing what our readers are passionate about. We don’t care if it comes from a gamer, a developer, a doctor, or a teacher, as long as it's about video games, we’re here to listen.
Reviews - Did you just play your favorite game and would like to share what you thought of it? Were you disappointed with a certain game’s mechanics, or maybe loved how a game’s narrative made you cry at night? We love to hear about that stuff and see different people’s perspective on games. Send us a review and share your thoughts with everyone. Just make sure that the game is fairly recent and that you own a copy of the game you’d like to review.
What makes for a good article?
It should reflect your thoughts and opinion on the subject matter you are submitting. Plagiarism is a big no-no so please make sure to include credible sources on news articles. We’d like to see what gamers are interested in, and we primarily want content that reflects the culture of gaming. If you have pictures and videos to accompany your articles, the better.
What makes for a bad article?
Strictly no promotions. If you have a game or a product that you would like us to look into, send a pitch to our PR Manager, Nick Keogan (nick.keogan@gametyrant.com). Grammar is also a priority for us, so please ensure that your articles are properly structured and is readable. Lastly, keep it clean and appropriate and make sure that the subject matter is relevant to GameTyrant.
