A thrilling shoot 'em up, a rad 1950s aesthetic, and aliens. It seems that the developers at Loomiarts have the perfect concoction with their newest game Squad 51 vs. The Flying Saucers. Boasting an incredibly unique 1950’s visual direction, this shoot 'em up is something you should definitely keep an eye on.
As the alien invaders land their saucers and begin to oppress the human race, it’s up to Squad 51 to take ‘em out and rise up against the alien overlords. Let’s face it, the premise is pretty damn awesome, but something that caught my attention is some of the unique features that this experience is said to offer. For one the cinematic experience here is going to be great as there will be live-action FMV sequences that highlight key story moments, maintaining the 1950s setting.
Alongside this, you will have four unique aircraft to customize with special weapons, 11 different environments to save the world and blast aliens in, and the ability to have a co-op partner jump in at any time of play….everyone knows saving the world from an alien invasion is more fun with a friend.
Squad 51 vs. The Flying Saucers is a game that is showing off some truly unique stuff and we can’t wait to get our hands on it. With an expected release this autumn, it will be releasing on Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4, Xbox One, and Pc via Steam.
