Well holy crap, The Outer Worlds is going to be coming to the Nintendo Switch! This player choice driven RPG was one of my favorite games on display at E3 2019 and one of my most anticipated games of 2019 in general. While The Outer Worlds is slated for release on October 25 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One it will be a bit longer before we see the title on Switch. Sadly no date has yet been given. Cool news is that the port is being handled by Virtuos, the company behind great ports and remasters of games such as Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age, LA Noire Remastered and Dark Souls Remastered, so the pedigree is here to make this a great port!
The Outer Worlds is being co-developed by Obsidian and Private Division and looks to be shaping up into a very strong title. For all of you out there who love games like The Elder Scrolls or Fallout by Bethesda should find lots to love in this title. I think the Firefly-esque settings might be what I am most excited for when it comes to The Outer World. The open ended design for many of the missions is also a huge plus for player choice. Having a portable option for this type of game is now a very interesting prospect and I hope we will get a release date soon!
