A few days ago, Blizzard finally announced that Diablo III Eternal Collection will be heading to the Nintendo Switch. Now, it has been confirmed that the physical version of the game will not require any additional downloads to play.
In a statement by Blizzard, via Nintendo News, the developer confirmed that “all of the content fits on a cartridge so you can buy a physical copy without requiring any downloads.”
Ever since the launch of the Nintendo Switch, a few physical releases of games required players to download additional content to play. When Capcom released Resident Evil Revelations 1 and 2 for the Switch, only the first game was included in the physical cartridge and players were given a code to download the second game.
It’s definitely good to hear that buying the physical version would actually give you the whole game and won’t require any additional downloads to play. As of now, Blizzard is still yet to announce the release date for the game on the Nintendo Switch.
