MOUSE: P.I. For Hire already looked stylish as heck, and now the soundtrack is giving me even more reason to be excited. The game is getting an 18-track original soundtrack release through Mondo, including a Black and White Splatter vinyl that feels like a perfect match for the game’s look and vibe.
What really stands out to me though is the Caravan Palace collaboration. The new single “Good Mouse” drops on streaming services April 2nd, and Caravan Palace feels like such a smart choice for this game. Their sound fits the cartoon noir energy of MOUSE so well. I still remember the first time I heard Lone Digger, and it’s still one of the coolest music videos I’ve ever seen, so seeing them attached to this game instantly got my attention.
There’s also a behind-the-scenes video with composer Patryk Scelina talking about the music and what inspired it, which is a nice extra for anyone already keeping an eye on the game.
