The World Needs A Remastered DEAD SPACE!

I know that the rest of you have also being waiting with bated breath for a press release announcing the remastered editions of the Dead Space trilogy for consoles and PC. Me too! The series is deserving of updated graphics and a reintroduction into the hearts and minds of the gaming community. I need the terrifying audio cues that signal our impending doom, and I want back the shrieks of sheer horror as someone lightly touches our shoulder while I have headphones on.

There are plenty of games that I want to see return. And some are getting that victory lap. But Dead Space holds a special place in my heart. There are few gaming experiences that envelop the player in an unforgettable experience, and the horror classic was one of those. With the lights off, the volume up in your headset, the room to yourself (you hope), and sweaty palms clutched tightly around the controller, it’s one wild ride.

With the advancements in graphics over the last six years, I’m sure that development of a remastered edition would make the scares and gore all the more real in the eye of the player. I’d even be interested in seeing a version that was available for VR. That would inject a whole new level of dread as you navigate the broken and bloody halls of the derelict ship without any visual distance. You can’t escape it. It’s all around you. And behind you…

I’m not looking for new content. I just want the technically masterful classic updated for a new age of gaming. And I want players who haven’t experienced the chilling atmosphere to play through one of the pioneers in the horror genre. Isaac Clarke is a desperate man in need of a help. Let’s put a remastered plasma cutter in his hands and get to work.
