With only a twenty-two year lull between titles, Pokémon Snap is finally getting a second title! Despite coming out with generation after generation of new Pokémon and new Pokémon games, Nintendo has been leaving the classic and beloved picture-taking adventure in the past, but they are finally bringing it back. Simply titled New Pokémon Snap, this new title will release on Nintendo Switch this coming April 30th and will feature a large variety of Pokémon from all generations.
Get ready to get back in your auto-railed hovercar again and have your camera at the ready. Just as it was in the first game, your pictures will be evaluated by the professor and scores will be based on your subjects’ poses, how large they appear, how directly they’re facing you, and their placement within the frame. While you are out there, you may get to see Pokémon look and behave in different ways than before.
