There's Never Been A Better Time To Jump Back Into Diablo

During the winter of 1997, I fondly recall the ethereal sounds of the Diablo soundtrack filling my small yet immersive desktop speakers hovering around my CRT monitor on my screaming fast Pentium 133 Windows 95 gaming machine. It changed the way I thought about games, especially their audio capabilities to transport players to another world. I was absolutely enthralled with this unknown-to-me new genre of click, click, loot in a dark fantasy world.

Fast forward 25 years and we can reflect on the Diablo series to realize it has definitely had its ups and downs. The series has had years of massive content gaps while World of Warcraft became the seeming sole focus at Blizzard. Now though, that has all changed. With the original Diablo available on GOG.com to play on modern PCs, a new Terror Zone feature and patch for Diablo II: Resurrected, Season 27 of Diablo III, new content for Diablo Immortal, and Diablo IV an upcoming End Game closed beta, there’s never been a better time to jump back in. I am having an absolute blast! While Immortal has left some players cold, there are tons of upcoming content and if that isn’t your cup of tea, there are still a ton of options with the other entries with constant updates and promising roadmaps constantly being improved. Like a young kid 25 years ago, the excitement is palpable and it truly feels like the Diablo series has dark life being pumped into it once again…
