The absolutely manic action game Bloodroots releases on February 28th. Indie developer Paper Cult focuses on innovative action games with a frenzied pace, and their latest project is an ambitious one.
And it’s going to be a gore-filled, fast-moving dance of death, if the trailer has anything to say about it.
Here’s the story synopsis:
Betrayed and left for dead, Mr. Wolf is hell-bent on finding his killer and enacting revenge—alone and vastly outnumbered. Thankfully for Mr. Wolf, the world is your weapon in Bloodroots—a relentless action game that unfolds across the sprawling Weird West. You’ll choreograph spectacular, ultra-violent combos by making use of everything around you, from hatchets, to ladders, to...carrots? It’s improvise or die, as Mr. Wolf fights his way to the center of the mystery: why was he betrayed?
The game features a world where anything is a weapon. Handcrafted levels enliven Mr. Wolf’s killing spree with vivid colors and eye-popping terrain. Attack with deadly combos to enact your revenge and search for answers.
It’s a memorable indie action game, and it releases at the end of the month.
