If you've seen Dragon Quest Builders, you've probably had the same thought that everyone else in gaming has had when they first saw it..."isn't this Minecraft?" Yes, this is Minecraft with a few key differences...
- Smarter and interactive villager NPC's
- More customization options
- Better graphics
Essentially that's it, but it goes a long way. Game Informer had a prolonged amount of time to play the game and showcased all of the above features. To me, this game has a similar build system to the MySims games, but the combat sets that apart real quick. If you go to around the 9 minute mark in this video, you'll see a really cool abandoned castle which is the kind of thing you don't see in Minecraft. Overall I was pleasantly surprised with how this game sets itself apart. See it in action below.
