After going through multiple changes and updates while in early access, Compulsion Games and Gearbox Publishing have released an E3 trailer for We Happy Few. The trailer not only shows a bit more of the strange story, but gives us a launch date of August 10, 2018 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Check it out:
If you don't know what to expect with We Happy Few, as far as the main story line goes, it is a 20+ hour game of strange truth. Players will play as three uniquely flawed characters coming to terms with their past and uncovering the secrets of Wellington Wells, an island off the coast of England that seems to have been cut off from the rest of the world after World War II.
I've been intrigued by this game since I first saw it. The glimpses into the madness of a whole town taking a drug that keeps them happy were disturbing yet interesting. There is just so much wrong with that alone and I can't wait to see how the finished product will be received.
