24 Entertainment have officially announced the Naraka: Bladepoint championship will take place next month, and there’s a huge $1.5 million prize pool up for grabs. The tournament, hosted in Singapore, will pit 24 teams of the world’s top players against each other for the considerable sum of prize money.
Naraka: Bladepoint, developed by 24 Entertainment and published by NetEase Games, is a battle royale with a mythical twist. Its combat is melee-focused. Katanas and greatswords take centre stage, alongside bows, muskets and magical powers. Players have various heroes to choose from, each with their own distinct skills and powers.
The competition will begin on December 2nd, with finals expected to kick off between December 15th and 18th. Of the teams picked, 12 will be from Mainland China, and 12 from the rest of the world. The scoring system has been designed in an effort to make the gameplay as exciting for viewers as possible. Players will be scored on their kills, which will then be multiplied based on their team’s performance.
The world championship matches are set to be broadcast live, via the Naraka: Bladepoint Twitch and Facebook accounts.
Naraka: Bladepoint is available now for, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam. At the moment, Game Pass subscribers can play it for free.
