Stuck on one of the dozens of boss fights in Crimson Desert? Even though you’ll be participating in many activities, upgrading your gear, armor, and weapons is key to not only surviving minor battles but sometimes 100% necessary to beat the game’s many difficult bosses. Even if you have the some serious skills, some boss battles are almost impossible to beat without upgrading. Most pieces require ore to upgrade so be sure to stock up on that first. To upgrade your gear, follow these simple steps:
Find the smithy, with the first one easiest to find in Hernand city central right behind the giant vendor Rhett
Focus on the smithy and select the Refinement option
Select which piece of armor or which weapon you want to refine/upgrade on the left menu, noted that your equipped pieces will have an equipped tag
Select the ingredients necessary, noting any substitutions available
Select Refine and enjoy!
