We haven’t had a proper 007 game since the 7th console generation. We went almost 2 generations without a new entry but after many years of waiting our patience has paid off in what could be one of the most sought after 007 games in a while.
Developed and Published by IO Interactive, the game was revealed earlier today at the State of Play and it looks phenomenal. The brief snippets of gameplay we saw show us that this is going to be a third-person action title which is something fans would definitely enjoy. Whether or not the game will keep the linearity of Hitman or allow us to roam an open-world is yet to be seen.
The game is currently slated for a 2026 release and will have a better look at gameplay in the Summer at a later date. I know I am excited to finally experience a new 007 game from the people who have given us the Hitman series.
