Konami has recently announced that they will be introducing co-op missions in Metal Gear Survive that will roll out sometime next month. In addition, daily and weekly missions are already live and available to players of the game.
The upcoming co-op DLC will consist of Rescue Missions, where players will have to team up to rescue NPC soldiers in need of their help. This brand new addition to the fairly recent game is due for release sometime in March. Check out Konami’s description of the DLC via a press release:
“Cooperate and coordinate with your squad to go rescue soldiers seeking for help. Compared to Salvage Missions, those missions will require a whole new level of cooperation and team spirit.”
Furthermore, the daily and weekly missions will offer more rewards and include special battle conditions to give players a unique gameplay experience that will let them utilize different strategies. Hopefully, more post-release content will be added to Metal Gear Survive soon.
Most importantly, I hope that Konami would come to their senses and remove the game’s outrageous micro-transactions. A few days ago, Metal Gear Survive faced backlash from fans when it was revealed that creating an additional save file, which has been previously free in majority of titles since the dawn of video games , will now cost players a fee of $10. Several keen-eyed players have also discovered some messages hidden by the game’s developers revealing tensions behind the scenes as the messages seemed to call out the game’s director and producer, and praised the previous developer and series creator of Metal Gear, Hideo Kojima. You can read the details on that here.
