Nioh 2 has revealed The Tengu’s Disciple, a new DLC for the fast-paced action game.
Players will travel back in time to the Heian period. In the coastal region of Yashima, they’ll encounter friends and foes—and more terrifying Yokai—as history is revealed with the connection between the legendary Sohayamaru and Otakemaru.
There are a lot of new gameplay mechanics and ideas that Team Ninja incorporated into the sequel, and it seems to have worked. The game is well-liked by both critics and the gaming community at large.
If you’re interested in checking the game out, though, be aware that it’s a PlayStation 4 exclusive and that it’s rated Mature for Blood and Gore, Suggestive Themes, and Violence. That won’t surprise anyone familiar with the original Nioh and other Souls-like games, but just so you know.
