Developer and publisher Modus Games revealed their brand new fighting game Diesel Legacy: The Brazen Age at the PC Gaming Show! A brand-new style of fighting games with an engaging 2v2 matches within the three-lane system. With a hand drawn Dieselpunk backdrop to give it a unique flair. Along with the announcement of the game, Modus also announced that the game is available to try now in a Steam open beta.
Diesel Legacy: The Brazen Age takes place in the bustling metropolis city of New Libertis, also known as Iron City to it’s residents due to it’s Dieselpunk-inspired technological marvel. All thanks to FALCORP Industries, a corporation that wants to take humanity into a higher state of existence. Of course, this doesn’t include the working class, so left to fend for themselves in the streets of Iron City a battle emerges for the fate of tomorrow.
With an all-new playstyle Diesel Legacy flips the traditional fighting genre with it’s 2v2 local and online co-op matches. The game will feature ten playable characters at launch, four of which are available now during the beta. Each character providing their own unique arsenal of devastating attacks and meaningful shifts to team dynamics. Strategy will be key, playing out in three lanes you will need to plan whether you’re going to hold your ground and fight or are you going to try to outsmart your opponents and attack them from behind. The three-lane system will provide a means of escape to allow your partner to take the heat while you gather your grounds, but if your partner takes too much heat and gets knocked out, they can still assist you from beyond the grave. Another unique mechanic to the game is a “Ghost Parry” where your knocked out team mate can still parry enemy attacks to help defend you.
Diesel Legacy: The Brazen Age will launch on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam at a later date, but can be tried on Steam now in an open beta. Check out the reveal trailer below!
