Adam’s Venture: Origins is developed by Vertigo Games and publisher by Soedesco that is an exploration game that takes place in the roaring 20s. This is actually a newly realized version of the franchise that started in 2009. It has better graphics, mechanics, and puzzles than the original. You’ll play as Adam Venture and navigate ancient ruins to find mysterious artifacts in a race against the evil Clairvaux company.
The game focuses on “brain over brawn,” so puzzles and exploration are what players can expect in this game. I think that’s a very good way of trying something new with the exploration genre. Adam’s journey will take you through old tombs and crumbling cities as he uncovers these forgotten secrets. The story here is fiction but interweaves real historical events and characters to tie it into the real world.
The game is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and digitally for Nintendo Switch. Its physical release for Nintendo Switch is set to come out on September 25th!
