Alienware returned to San Diego Comic-Con for the first time since 2018, and based on everything we've seen, they didn't just show up. They showed out. The Alienware Gaming Lounge set up shop on the 2nd floor of the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina, giving SDCC attendees hands on time with the legendary Area-51 Gaming Desktop, the recently launched Alienware 15 Gaming Laptop, Pro Series Peripherals designed with Team Liquid, and a stunning lineup of new monitors including the Alienware 27 240Hz QD-OLED, the Alienware 34 280Hz QD-OLED ultrawide, and an exclusive first look at the world's first 39 inch 5K OLED ultrawide gaming monitor with RGB Stripe technology. Fans competed in gaming competitions, grabbed exclusive Alienware swag, and had a chance to win premium gear.
But the real showstopper was something nobody saw coming. Behind the walls of the gaming lounge, Alienware was hiding a full blown game show. Once selected, fans sat down on a stage, the platform spun around, and suddenly they were facing a live 100 person audience in the stands. With 60 seconds on the clock, contestants had to answer as many gaming trivia questions as possible to test their knowledge, with top performers entering a chance to win an Alienware 15 Gaming Laptop and the upcoming 39 inch 5K OLED monitor.
No other brand has ever pulled off anything like this at SDCC, and frankly, we're a little heartbroken we weren't there to take a spin ourselves but there’s always next year.
