On the State of Play, the first footage showed the upcoming HUMANITY. It’s releasing in 2020, with optional support for PSVR. The trailer doesn’t focus on gameplay mechanics or the narrative. All of that will be coming later when the game nears its official launch. Instead, the clip emphasizes the intriguing look of HUMANITY. Massive crowds push against one another in a spartan world of blocks and sharp edges.
The founder of tha ltd., Yugo Nakamura, mentions that the developer is “working hard to make HUMANITY something that engages all your senses—a fun, challenging game, but also something more meaningful than that.” Based on the trailer, the story and the gameplay are elements that we can’t wait to discover.
The game’s Twitter account is active, and more information is available on the PlayStation Blog.
