When I first saw that they were announcing another theme park tycoon game, I was initially not too thrilled, but seeing what the tail end of the announcement trailer had to offer changed my perspective completely! Coming from publisher Bandai Namco and developer Limbic Entertainment, I should have expected more than the typical tycoon game with Park Beyond. It would be the combined efforts of two great studios to bring a brand-new take on theme park management simulation.
Players will be able to let their creativity run wild by utilizing the game’s modules in innumerable ways to create unique attractions that will delight you and your visitors. Featuring the ability to create gravity-defying attractions called “impossified rides,” there is nothing but a player’s creativity in between what can be done. With a deep theme park management system, a story mode peppered with a colorful cast of characters that will help or hinder you, this theme park simulation genre is getting a new type of experience.
Park Beyond is planned to release sometime in 2022 for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. What creative genius or monstrosity are you looking forward to building and calling a ride?
