A beekeeping simulator with cute pixel graphics… what more needs to be said? Publisher Whitethorn Games and indie developer TNgineers have launched their semi-educational beekeeping simulator APICO.
With an interest in the preservation of bees, APICO gives players the freedom to breed, collect, and conserve over 30 species of bees. For the first time players are able to build their own little bee sanctuary while also running a small business selling honey, Apicola, and other beekeeping products!
APICO is a cute little game with a ton of heart put into it. Something that surprisingly doesn't pop up too often on the indie game scene. Aside from the educational purposes, APICO is clearly a passion project close to the hearts of the developers involved and will definitely warm the souls of any who play it.
Alongside its theme, APICO has released on World Bee Day, helping to spread awareness of bees’ importance in our natural ecosystem.
We honestly cant wait to get our hands on a plot of digital land and start conserving away! Be sure to check out the trailer above and let us know what you think down below in the comments. APICO is now available for purchase on PC via Steam, itch.io, Gamejolt, The Epic Games Store, Utomik, and Humble Store with a simultaneous console release following soon.
