Pokémon Pokopia: How to Increase the Environment Level

One of the best ways to unlock new items and abilities in Pokémon Pokopia is by increasing your Environment Level. Each region has a different Environment Level starting from level 1, and it can go up to Level 5 and above.

Getting to the right Environment Level can be difficult when more and more Pokémon show up. To make things easier for you, here are some tips for increasing your Environment Level in Pokémon Pokopia.

Best ways to increase your Environment Level in Pokémon Pokopia

Build Pokémon Habitats

With each new region you discover, you’ll have to start from having no Pokémon habitats to creating a bustling society of Pokémon. With more habitats comes a better Environment Level, so make sure to discover traces of new habitats whenever possible.

Also, most habitats can spawn more than just one type of Pokémon. To get other or rarer types of Pokémon, move out a Pokémon from one habitat into another, such as a den you’ve built to house multiple ‘mons, and soon after, your empty habitat should spawn a new Pokémon.

Listen to Pokémon comfort requests

Ask your Pokémon what their comfort level is like, and they’ll tell you what type of environment or item they’re looking for. Fulfilling that request (and making sure to let the Pokémon know that you’ve given them what they asked for) will increase your Environment Level.

Sometimes, these requests can get messy when one Pokémon’s request clashes with another. Try housing Pokémon near others that they tell you they enjoy being around. If Onix likes a dry area for his Smooth Rock habitat, don’t put him near Squirtle, who needs to be hydrated.

Water the ground

Despite some Pokémon preferring dry areas, using your Water Gun ability to hydrate the ground around you is important for having a high Environment Level. Water the grass, dead trees, dried bushes, and tall grass to bring them back to life.

Build buildings and other structures

Pokémon love being in an environment with your own creations! Even if it means using a kit, creating your own buildings and structures with the various blocks you can find in the world will help your Environment Level.

Interact with Pokémon

Pokémon will not only tell you their comfort levels, but they also want to play and chat with you! Some Pokémon will have a quiz for you with a reward if you get the answer right, while others may want to play hide-and-seek or jumprope.
